Encouraging Word on Perseverance

Encouraging Word on Perseverance

Hi God’s Beloved, are you going through a really difficult time right now ? Do you you feel like it is long and drawn out? Are you feeling weary? I have en encouraging word for you today that I pray will speak fresh perspective, life and strength into you today in the midst in Jesus’ Name.

The Lord showed me word PERSEVERANCE. He actually had me look at it with an extra “e” to point out the word severe. The definition of Perseverance is: continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition :the action or condition or an instance of persevering :steadfastness. However what I find interesting, is that the Holy Spirit also broke it down more with me below.

PER SEVERE ANCE.

The definition of PER is by the means or agency of or through

The definition of SEVERE is causing discomfort or hardship, requiring great effort, rigorous, of a great degree, arduous a severe test

The definition of ANCE is action or process, quality or state and amount or degree.

PER SEVERE ANCE is PREPARING you by the means of or through SEVERE arduous hardships, great degrees of discomfort that require great effort and are testing you severely. The degree to which you allow perseverance to takes it’s course in you and your situations with the Lord, will determine the quality or state that you will end up in (ANCE).

It’s important to remember that God does not tempt us. And as our Loving Father, He also does not put sickness, accidents or evil on us. If Jesus paid for it on the cross then it is done. It is clear in John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. The devil comes to destroy us and God will take that and turn it around for good (Romans 8:28).

So don’t let the devil try to twist God’s character when you are in the midst of tribulations. The Lord told us in advance that we would have tribulations in John 16:33. “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Notice He did not say that He was causing it, just that in the world you would have it. He then proceeds to speak life and encouragement.

I speak life, strength and encouragement over you today in the Name of Jesus. That no matter what you are going through, take heart in the Lord’s words. You are an overcomer in Christ. While there is a difference between spiritual attack and persevering through something that God is using to grow you (e.g. patience, grace, forgiveness, giving).

If you find yourself under spiritual attack you do still need to persevere. Sometimes you need to encourage yourself in the Lord like David did. Praise & worship, speak the word, pray in the Holy Spirit, reach out for help, be still and rest in the Lord, this is all part of fighting the good fight of faith. That is also perseverance.
